Obituary of Aida Murray
Aida T. (nee Pucci) Murray, 86, formerly of Philadelphia PA died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at William Dunlap Hospice Center for Caring in Raleigh, NC. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Thursday, February 17 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, Feasterville, PA prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Aida graduated from Olney Hich School and attended Temple University. Her career was in bookkeeping and she held several full charge bookkeeper positions for a variety of businesses in a wide range of industries. Retiring in 1991, she and her late husband Joseph (Bud) spent their winter months in Boca Raton FL and moved to Raleigh in July, 2005. Aida loved to dance and play bridge, and taught many people to do both. She frequently attended the theatre and was the Manager of the Choral Group in Magnolia Glen where she lived in Raleigh.
The youngest of 5 children of the late Nick and Rina Cipriano Pucci, Aida is survived by daughter Loretta (Alan), Murray Woodall of Cary, NC; son Joseph F. Murray, Jr. of Williamstown, NJ; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph and her sisters Natalie Baris, Millie Roviello and Ines Bochis.
