IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Albert Julius
Wolf, Jr.
July 22, 1941 – December 8, 2023
Albert Julius Wolf, Jr was born July 22, 1941 in Philadelphia to his mother, Elizabeth Wachosski Wolf and father Albert Julius Wolf, both predeceased. He grew up on 6th Street, where his first job was as a pretzel boy for the Century Movie theater located at Marshal and Erie Streets in Philadelphia.
Albert moved on to delivering the evening bulletin as a paperboy, and enjoyed the Boy Scouts, ultimately earning his Eagle Scout rank. He graduated from Thomas Edison High School.
Al was an honor student while he attended a year at Temple University. He was accepted into West Point but decided to marry the love of his life, Margaret Mae Kelly (predeceased) February 8th, 1964 at St. Timothy's Church in Philadelphia when he began his adventure raising a family.
Al was a real go-getter and always worked more than one job. He worked for CBC Electronics and then the Naval Depot as a cartographer in Philadelphia. Later, demonstrating an aptitude for science, Al began a career at Rohm and Haas as a chemical analyst. Simultaneously, he also worked at Fagan Brothers Store which sold household goods, furniture and clothing.
Albert was a veteran who proudly served as a Staff Sergeant for the 913th Cargo Squadron in the Air Force from 1963 until 1969 where he received a National Defense Medal.
Al was quite the family man and enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He had a real love of travel, transporting his family in the big brown wagon to Wildwood during the Summer and the Poconos during the Winter. His happy place was always exploring the forest around Williamsport, PA where he would go to hunt, and spend time out in nature every year.
Once Al retired he drove from coast to coast throughout the US. Every October, he would plan his route across the US. He would visit National Parks and monuments all the while enjoying the solitude of the different landscapes.
He was an avid and adept bargain shopper and couponer. He made sure that once his daughters moved out they could always come to "shop" in his basement.
Albert passed December 8th at home on hospice surrounded by love. He is survived by his three daughters, Kimberly Davis (Daniel), Janet Balla (Robert), Tammy McCauley (Brian), siblings Betty Ann Wolf, Pat Douglass and John Wolf. He has seven grandchildren, Kelly, Shannon (Alex), Emily, Sarah, Robert, Daniel and Connor.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Saturday December 16th from 11 AM to 12PM. A service will follow with Deacon Joe Bernauer officiating. Mr. Wolf will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd. Bensalem, PA 19020.
