Alfred S. Drechsel, two weeks shy of 85, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 16th, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.  Al was the beloved husband of Joanne (Jeitner) Drechsel for 57 years and is survived by two sons, Alfred and Robert.  Al was also the loving grandfather to Madison Drechsel.

Al was born in Wilson borough, Northampton County, to Alfred R. and Elsie (Schwind) Drechsel on May 31st, 1939.  He later became a lifelong resident of Southampton, Pennsylvania.  He graduated from William Tennent High School and later attended classes at Bucks County Community College.  Al settled into a career as machinist for Fischer & Porter Company in Warminster until his retirement.  After he retired, he took on a position as security officer at Holy Redeemer Hospital, where he worked until 2014.

Al was a lifetime member of Vereinigung Erzgebirge in Warminster, where as a youth he spent many happy hours on the soccer fields.

In his eighties, Al found enjoyment in taking walks at various local parks with his dog and feeding the birds.

A private service will be held for Alfred at a later date.
