Alice Mary Shelinsky (née Cain), age 87 of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, PA, Alice was a proud graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School.  She met her husband, Peter P. Shelinsky, Sr. and were married November 16, 1957.

Alice was a loving wife, wonderful mother, nanny and great-grandmother.

Daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Isabelle (Dussell) Cain; Sister of Joseph Cain Jr., deceased (Mary), Mary Ann Duffy, deceased (John, deceased), and Isabelle Jackson.  Devoted wife of the late Peter P. Shelinsky, Sr.  Alice was preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven (Charlene).  Alice is survived by her loving children, Peter Jr. (Denise Lagocki), Joseph (Maryann), Michael (Jeannie), Paul (Natalie), Thomas, Christine, Kathleen (Vincent McBride) Shelinsky, Isabelle Edmondson (John), Lillian Hess (Victor  Barocas), and Anna Marie McCreesh (Matthew).  She leaves behind 30 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her evening viewing from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Monday, February 10, 2025 at the Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 E. County Line Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA.  Followed by a Tuesday, February 11, 2025 church viewing from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at St. Christopher's Roman Catholic Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM.  Father Sang will be officiating.

Alice will be laid to rest with her husband at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
