Obituary of Amarillys Santiago

It is with a heavy heart that we announce on April 8, 2015 Amarillys "Gigi" Santiago passed away and found peace. She is survived by her mother- Crucita, husband- Victor, son- Victor Jr, daughter- Marilis, son-in-law- Waldy, and two grandchildren- Arilis & Isaac. She will be missed by friends, nieces, nephews, cousins and most of all by her older brothers & sisters- Abby, Matt, Uziel, Enid, Hulda & Elvis. We await the day when we will be reunited with her Father-Felix, brother-Gadiel, & nephew- Michael.

Gigi was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Lancaster, and lived her adult life in Warminster. She was a mortgage department quality control for Trumark Financial for over 11 years.

As a young adult, Gigi met her prince charming. They have shared over 32 years together, building a life & helping each other reach new goals. Blessed with two children, Little Vic & Marilis, their family was complete. Today they have grown adding a son-in-law & two grandchildren. Family was everything to Gigi.

As a true Philadelphian, she was a passionate & faithful fan of New York sports teams, the NY Giants were her favorite. Following the steps of her mother, Gigi enjoyed crafts- from making barrettes to designing baskets, scrapbooking & even mosaics. Her most notable passion was the love she felt for her culture. She loved the food, the dancing & most of all the music.

She will be missed by many...

God patiently watched us all from above as we cared for Gigi in her struggle to fight the cancer that invaded her body. He wrapped his arms around us all and whispered it would be ok. He has assured us that the bond we share will help us through our sorrow and the memories of Gigi's smile will light our way through the darkness.

Gigi will leave each of us with vivid memories. She enjoyed time spent with friends & family, laughing and sharing stories. We invite friends and family to join us in a memorial service on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at 10 am at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, Pa 19053, where her funeral service will begin at 11 am. Entombment to follow in
