Anna Nancy Rickert, age 103 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late Theodore and Margaret (Hindman) Schade. Anna was a graduate of Ellis College School for Girls in 1938. She married her devoted husband, Raymond Valentine Rickert, on October 21, 1939, and their love story began. Mrs. Rickert became a principal Secretary at William Tennent High School for thirty years until her retirement. Mr. Rickert passed away in 1971 and Anna continued to remain faithful to her husband until her passing. They are now dancing together to their love song, "Grow old along with me". She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Anna loved to be at the beach, garden, bird watching, being outside, and mowed her lawn until she was 90 years old. She was devoted to her faith, being a member of Good Shepherd Church in Southampton, PA and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Jamison, PA. She volunteered for Doylestown Hospital for various years. Above all else, she loved being with her family.
Daughter of the late Theodore and Margaret (Hindman) Schade; Wife of the late Raymond V. Rickert; Mother of the late Ronald Rickert; Grandmother of the late Kevin Rickert; as well as numerous siblings. Anna is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl and the late Michael Brown; Seven cherished grandchildren; Nine beloved great-grandchildren and 3 precious great-great grandchildren. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins to share fond memories.
A celebration of life will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Doylestown Hospital Hospice and Neshaminy Manor for all their love and care during Anna's life.
