Obituary of Annunziata Pileggi

ANNUNZIATA PILEGGI, Nonna, beloved Mother and Grandmother, died peacefully Jan. 7, Foothill Acres Nursing Home, Hillsborough, NJ at the age of 95.

She was born in 1911 in Stefanaconi, Italy and moved to the U.S. in 1962.

Widow of the late Tomaso Greco, and of the late Joseph Pileggi, sister of the late Caterina DiBetta of Stefanaconi, Italy; 2 brothers, the late Domenico Fortuna of Raritan, NJ and the late Paulo Fortuna of South America.

She is survived by a daughter Nazarena and her son-in-law Fulvio Santaguida of Whiting, NJ; son Frank and daughter in-law Margherita Greco of Middlesex, NJ; daughter Rosa Banchetto of FL; two stepchildren Anthony Pileggi and his wife Ellie Pileggi; and a daughter, the late Maria Pileggi; 12 grandchildren, Carmela and David Pagano, Nancy Culbertson, Catherina Schiavo, Maria Abbamont, Susie and Michael Gummel, Concetta and Anthony Vigliano, Paul and Thomas Greco, Anthony Banchetto; 9 great grandchildren; nephews Gregorio DiBetta of PA, Domenico DiBetta of Italy; niece Rosina Messina of PA; nephews Joseph Fortuna and Frank Fortuna of Raritan, NJ and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
