Obituary of Beatrice Whiting
Beatrice M. "Bea" (Mears) Whiting of Philadelphia passed away Friday, April 17, 2009. She was 82.
Bea was the beloved wife of Charles Whiting and loving mother of Debra L. Fox (Sloan); the devoted grandmom of Lisa Grosso (Jim) and Brian Fox (Valerie); and the great-mom-mom of Tabitha and Melanie Grosso and Blake and Jenna Fox. She was also the loving mom to "Romeo", her best companion. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Mears Jr.
She had worked at Gulf Oil Co. and then went to work for John Wanamaker Department Store.
Relatives and friends are invited to call after 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 22, at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville (on the grounds of Sunset Memorial Park), where a funeral service will be held at noon. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1648 Huntingdon Pike, Meadowbrook, PA 19006.
