Obituary of Bernadine MacNeal

Bernadine Delores MacNeal (nee Reznick) of Huntingdon Valley died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 surrounded by family. Bernadine was born in Hazleton, PA and attended Hazleton High School. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with her RN and practiced nursing for over 40 years. She retired as a school nurse with the School District of Philadelphia. Bernadine was committed to charity work including cooking meals for Aid for Friends. She was skilled at sewing and cooking, was an avid reader, and a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded to heaven by her loving husband Robert Francis MacNeal, Sr., parents Julius and Mary (Kaschak) Reznick, brothers John, Michael, Joseph, Andrew and Francis Reznick, sisters Helen Bush and Mary Havrilla. She is survived by her brother Julius (Dorothy) Reznick, Jr., her children Bernadine (Steven) Weng, Robert (Amy) MacNeal, Jr., Jennifer (Raymond) Helm, Marjery (Joseph) Krill and Lauren (Scott) Hartranft, grandchildren Brendon, Ashley, and Kevin MacNeal, Madeline and Joseph Krill, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church, 2nd St. Pike and Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. Entombment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 4001 W. Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bernadine's name to Abington Health Foundation - Rosenfeld Cancer Center, 1200 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001.
