Betty Kanagie, age 76, of Felton, Delaware passed Sunday, July 30th, 2023 in Dover, Delaware surrounded by her loving family.

Betty is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Dennis H. Kanagie, Sr. and her sister-in-law, Gayle Deane.  She will also be missed by her children, Dennis (Windy) Kanagie of Runnemede, NJ, Janet (Mathew) Pierson of Woodbury Heights, NJ, and David (Tina) Kanagie of Gloucester Township, NJ, and grandchildren, Courtney (Brett) Wurst, Christian VanAuken, Victoria (Macie) Pierson, Nicholas Kanagie and Stephanie Kanagie.

Betty was born in Kensington, to Winston Harold and Catherine G. Deane (nee Harvey), on October 14th, 1946.  Betty made lots of friends along the way from Sheridan Elementary, Stetson Junior High, and Mastbaum High School.  She worked as a librarian aid at Echelon Library in Voorhees, NJ.  She found her greatest satisfaction as a homemaker, taking care of her family.  She was an avid mystery reader, and lended her crochet skills to many charities including animal shelters and veteran's homes.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service, on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at 11:00 am on the grounds of Sunset Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley, PA.  We will be gathering under the portico of Kirk and Nice Funeral Home to proceed to the grave together.
