Brigitte K. (Plewka) Wunderlich, age 90, beloved wife of the late Heinz Wunderlich, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 in Philadelphia.
Born in Herne, Germany, Brigitte and her future husband Heinz emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1955 with hopes for a better life .
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a devoted, loving grandmother who cherished her grandchildren.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and reading.
Brigitte spent 15 years as a full time caregiver to her son Ralph.
She was a beautiful, gentle soul who appreciated the little things in life. She will be cherished and remembered by all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughter; Susan Phillips (Laird), and her son Henry Wunderlich (Suzanne). 3 grandchildren; Nicole Phillips, Maria and Kristin Wunderlich. Nephews; Gary (Cathleen), Glenn (Andrea) and their families.
In addition to her husband Heinz, Brigitte was preceded in death by her son Ralph, her sister Hanni, brothers, Hans, Gerd, and his wife Inge.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 West County Line Rd., Huntingdon Valley. A visitation will be held Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
