Obituary of Carl Rauscher
Carl F. Rauscher of Huntingdon Valley, died peacefully Wednesday October 5, 2011 at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 81 years old. He was the beloved husband of Sophia Sovtza Rauscher for 60 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George and Ethel Bush Rauscher. He is survived by his children; Brian J. Rauscher (Patricia) and Linda M. Rauscher, and was the devoted grandfather of Natasha Jade. He was the brother of the late George J. Rauscher (Marie T.) and uncle of Kathleen Binni (John). Carl was a graduate of Drexel University with a BS in Civil Engineering. During his career, he turned his engineering focus to the telecommunications industry and joined Ford Aerospace & RCA, working on government contracts all over the world. He retired after working with Bell Atlantic NJ, developing cellular sites all over the tri-state area. Carl's interests were fishing, traveling, photography and playing chess. Also attending sporting events in which his children were involved. Carl was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Huntingdon Valley for 42 years. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday October 10th, from 10 am, at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, where funeral services will be held at 11 am. Interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Memorial fund of the above listed church.
