IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles B.
Boyd
January 14, 1942 – October 29, 2025
Charles B. Boyd, affectionately known as Chuck or Bud, passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on January 14th, 1942, in Collegeville, PA, Charles built a life grounded in hard work, service, and resilience.
Charles spent many years as a resident and business owner in Northeast Philadelphia before making Trevose, PA his home, where he started his family. During that time, he and his wife ran a lawn mower business together—an endeavor that reflected his strong work ethic, mechanical know-how, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Charles then returned to his family home in Telford, PA, where he lovingly cared for his parents until their death. He remained in that home for many years afterward, sharing much of that time with his caring, longtime girlfriend, Mary Jane Lindsay. In March of 2025, he relocated to Churchville PA to be closer to his children and grandchildren, who brought him and them, immense pride and joy. A proud Navy veteran, Charles honorably served his country with dedication and patriotism. He was also a committed member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania for more than five decades, having joined in 1969.
Charles had an adventurous spirit and a lifelong love of antique cars. He enjoyed attending and participating in local car shows and was known within the community for his passion for classic automobiles. For many years, he traveled across the country in his motor home, embracing the freedom of the open road. Independent and private by nature, he was known for his strong will—and a stubborn determination that often made those close to him smile. He always said he would live forever, and he certainly had the grit to try.
Throughout his professional life, Charles was employed with Parks and Recreation for Cheltenham and Bensalem Township. He later enjoyed work as an over-the-road truck driver and then was employed at Opdyke's in Hilltown, which brought him much joy. In his later years, he continued his commitment to community service as a member of the Board of Directors for Parks and Recreation in Telford, PA.
Charles was the son of the late George Charles Jr. and Laura Ardeth Myers, and brother to his late sisters Ardeth Daniels and Janice King. He is also preceded in death by his beloved son, Craig Allen Boyd.
He is survived by his loving children: Charles E. Boyd (Joyce), Lisa Marie Boyd (Andrew), Jeffrey S. Boyd, and Douglass B. Boyd. He was a proud grandfather to ten cherished grandchildren: Kevin, Peyton, Anthony, Riley, Nina, Layla, Tucker, Salvatore, Steven, and Sierra.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Charles' visitation on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel.
