Obituary of Concetta Pasquarella

Concetta (Jean) Pasquarella, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after battling leukemia for 18 months. She was 80.

Born in Camden, New Jersey, Jean was the daughter of the late Sam and Rose Peterra. Jean was a Warminister resident for almost 3 years, and previously a longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia. She spent her winters, at her residence in Delray Beach, Florida.

Jean was a graduate of Bonsil Elementary School, Camden High School, and Bloomsburg State Teachers College.

Mrs Pasquarella, was a retired teacher at Olney Elementary School for 20 years. In addition, she received recognition for the many art awards received by her students over the years.

Jean was the beloved wife of Mario J. Pasquarella for 48 years, before his death in 1999. She was the devoted mother of Jean M. Geiger, Robert Pasquarella (Loretta), and Donald Pasquarella; loving grandmother of Amanda, Alyssa, and Alexandra Geiger. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Bell and Rosera DiPiero. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jean was a member of the Sons of Italy, as well as an active member of senior citizen church groups, at St. Christopher and St. Albert the Great.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jean loved going down to the Jersey shore with her family, while singing one of her favorite songs, "On the Way to Cape May". She enjoyed preparing family dinners, as well as baking her infamous homemade strawberry short cake.

Jean was a special woman and will be always remembered by others for her warmth, thoughtfulness and abundant "acts of kindness".

Relatives and family are invited to attend her viewing from 7 to 9 PM Sunday, April 19, and from 9:00 to 9:45 AM Monday, April 20 at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA. Her funeral mass will take place at 10:30 AM Monday, April 20 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 W. Street Road, Warminister 18974. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem.
