Daniel R. Fort of Perkasie Pennsylvania, passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 90. 

Daniel was born in Philadelphia to James Coats Fort and Florence M. Richey.In his youth, Daniel sold flowers on the streets of Philadelphia, where he learned the value of hard work and the importance of treating people with kindness and respect. Those early experiences helped shape the warm and generous man so many would come to know and love.

After proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, Daniel returned home and began building a life centered on dedication and family. He worked for Reedman-Toll Auto Group in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, before beginning a long and successful career with PECO, where he remained until his retirement. No matter where he worked, Daniel was admired for his strong work ethic, steady presence, and ability to make others laugh with his wonderful sense of humor.

At home in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, Daniel found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved caring for his home, spending time coin collecting, and sharing stories and laughter with those around him. He was a kind and generous man whose quiet acts of compassion left a lasting impression on family, friends, and neighbors alike.

Daniel was the beloved husband to Joan Fort, loving father to Paul Fort and his wife Cindy Haney and to Darlene (Fort) Hughes and her late husband Donald Hughes. Daniel was the caring grandfather of Logan, Devin and Daniel J (DJ) Fort, and Daniel’s love extended beyond his immediate family to his stepdaughter Joan (Joanie) Bickings and her husband Glen Bickings. 

Daniel will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park located at 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley PA 19006.
