Obituary of Daniel Sutton
Daniel Everett Sutton, Jr., of Hatboro and Ocean City, New Jersey. formerly of Meadowbrook, PA passed away on February 7, 2011. Born on January 4, 1916 in Philadelphia. Son of Daniel Everett Sutton, Sr., and Eliza (Ferguson) Sutton. For more than fifty years he was married to his wife Edna (Leo) who preceded him in death. Survived by son Russell Everett Sutton (Jane) of the Villages, FL, and daughter Virginia Shoff, of Southampton. Grandchildren Stephen Shoff (Julia), Wendy Kulesz (Kenneth) and Jody Buck (Peter). Three great-granddaughters, Sarah and Elizabeth Shoff and Riley Buck. A graduate, like his father before him, of the University of the Arts when it was the Philadelphia Museum and School of Industrial Art, Mr. Sutton was a consummate artist, one who specialized in architectural renderings. He was an entrepreneur as well. For over fifty years, Mr. Sutton owned the Sutton Advertising Agency in Philadelphia, a company he founded in the 1950s. He designed advertisements and sales materials for builders of large home developments in Southern New Jersey and the Philadelphia suburbs, incorporating his own paintings in his work. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Salvation Army in Dan's memory. Memorial service 11:30 AM Saturday, February 12, at Gloria Dei Farms, 3455 Davisville Road, Hatboro.
