David C. Bird, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

David graduated from Philadelphia College of the Bible in 1967 and worked in the Trust Department of Wells Fargo Bank, formerly Philadelphia National Bank, for 63 years. He loved spending time in Ocean City, New Jersey, attending local golf tournaments, and spending time with his family. He also was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. As a member of Church of the Savior in Wayne, PA, he served as an usher.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eva Bird, and his sister, Ruth Kirkland.

He is survived by his sister, Lois Ludwick, nephews Paul Kirkland, Timothy Kirkland, William Ludwick, Timothy Ludwick and nieces Susan Lawing, Naomi Dirks, and Rebekah Myers. He also had 7 grand nephews and 6 grand nieces.

A private graveside service will be held by the family at Sunset Memorial Park.
