Obituary of Donald Cuthbert

Donald J. Cuthbert (Don), age 78, of Levittown, PA died on Tuesday October 6, 2009 at Woodriver Village, Bensalem. Born in Boston, MA, he was raised in Brookline, MA by his beloved paternal grandparents, John and Roseann Cuthbert. His father and mother were John and Elizabeth, and his half mother Mary Agnes. Don met his future wife at Brookline High School, and after his graduation from Tufts University, Jean and he were married in June 1953. Don is survived by his wife Jean and his sister Joannie and her husband Robert Rafford. He was the loving father and "Pop-Pop" to; son Scott and his wife Cleda and children Bryon, Cara and Nikki, son Christopher and his wife Jebb, daughter Carol Koyste and her husband Chris and children Krista and Kelsey, and son John and his wife Trish and children Katie and Julia. Don was a graduate engineer and worked in the pioneering Aerospace Industry for the Martin Company (now Lockheed-Martin) for six and one half years, and for the General Electric Aerospace Division for thirty one and a half years before retiring in 1991. During the 1960's and 1970's, Don was active in the Boy Scouts, Little League baseball, children's soccer and ice hockey, and church. After his retirement he was an active gardener, dabled with several crafts and was a dedicated Grandfather. Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service, Saturday October 17, 10:00am, at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, after which Mr. Cutbert will be entombed in a cremorial at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville, PA. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Donald's name be made to the American Cancer, 1626 Locust Street, Philadlephia, PA 19103.
