Obituary of Donald Williams

Donald J. Williams, Esq.

passed away on August 31st after a long illness. He was 78 years old.

Born in Plymouth, P.A., his family moved to the Philadelphia area when he was eleven years old, where he attended Germantown Academy and Ursinus College in College in Collegeville, P.A. Upon graduation from Temple University Law School, Williams formed his own law firm (DeStefano & Williams) and practiced law in center city Philadelphia for over twenty years.

In 1975 Williams partnered with a Bucks County developer to create the retirement community known as Twining Village located in Holland, Bucks County, P.A. He later moved to Florida were he became licensed as a General Contractor, specializing in the design and construction of custom homes. In Palm Beach, Williams restored one of Everglades Islands premier waterfront homes. In addition to residential construction, Williams built the self-storage facility on Military Trail in West Palm Beach known as The Lockers. After twenty years of ownership, he sold it to Security Self Storage. As an avid golfer, Williams was a long-time member of the Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in P.A. and Ballenisles Country Club in Florida. He was also an active member of the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor, N.J.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Elizabeth (Rilling) Williams, two sons, Scott G. Williams, Esq. (Elaine) and Dr. Craig D. Williams (Yvette) plus four grandchildren- Trevor, Shelby, Craig Jr. and Courtney. He was predeceased by another son, Donald J. Williams, Jr. A brother, Dr. Ralph J. Williams, resides in Venice, Florida.
