Doreen S. Blau, age 75, died at the Vitas Hospice Unit at Nazareth Hospital on September 9, 2024. She was a 1966 graduate of Overbrook High School. She went on to earn her associate's degree from Philadelphia Community College and a Certificate from Manor Junior College. A Philadelphia native, she met, and later married, Morton R. Blau through mutual friends. She worked as a Clerk for the United States Government for many years.

Doreen was a fan of musical theater and had seen many productions of different musical shows on Broadway, in Philadelphia, and at many small dinner theaters in the Philadelphia and Tri-State area. Doreen was also a volunteer at the Klein Life and was a long-standing member of Jewish Women International (formerly B'nai Brith Women). She is survived by her daughter, Andrea (John) of Philadelphia, PA; son, Louis of Pittsburgh, PA; and her sisters, Judy and Lois Shatz of Philadelphia, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Harold Shatz and her husband, Mort.

Funeral services will take place at the Kirk & Nice Funeral Home in Huntingdon Valley, PA at 10:00 AM, preceded by a Gathering at 9:30 AM. Mourners are encouraged to wear pink or yellow if they wish to do so. Donations can be made in Doreen's memory to Hulk's Helping Hands Rescue, Bingo's Foundation LLC, or any animal charity of choice.
