Doris R. Tracy left this life on Wednesday, August 31st, 2016. She was 81 years of age. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be remembered for her smile, generous spirit and sense of humor. Born in Philadelphia on November 21st, 1934, she graduated from Germantown High School in 1952, then worked for Bell Telephone Company, where she met her husband of 61 years, Donald W Tracy. She lived most of her life in Southampton, PA, and in her final years resided at Wesley Enhanced Living in Upper Moreland, PA. Doris was the loving mother to four children: Timothy Douglas Tracy (deceased 1999), Thomas Tracy, Nancy Crane, and Jennifer Giuliano. Doris is also survived by six grandchildren, one great grandchild, her brother Rev. Charles E. Reid of Minnesota, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Doris was a long-time member of the Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Her strong faith carried her through a long and courageous battle with cancer for over two decades.
Her wonderful joy and life will be celebrated at a memorial service on September 6th at Kirk& Nice, 333 County Line Rd, Feasterville, PA 19053. Visitation is at 12:30 pm, service at 1:30 pm, interment at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Huntingdon Valley United Methodist Church Memorial Fund: 3470 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
