Elmer Earl Transue, age 91, passed Friday, July 28th, 2023 in Yardley, Pennsylvania.  Longtime resident of Overton, Pennsylvania where he enjoyed life on the farm.

Originally from Washington Crossing, Earl attended Neshaminy High School, where he discovered his two passions, automobiles, and high school sweetheart, cheerleader, Lola Vansant.  They went on to enjoy 64 years together.

After his service to our country in the Army, Earl joined Reedman Motors where he grew into the position of head appraiser.  He contributed to the Reedman organization for 38 years.  In his later years he enjoyed the outdoors, wildlife and hunting.  He also enjoyed restoring vintage tractors, working on the farm, and anything that has a motor.   He was a proud member of VFW Post 384, in New Albany, and a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles.

Earl was a devoted husband and father; survived by his son Gary (Donna) Transue.  Earl's grandchildren Gary (Devin) Transue, Mandi Freese (Michael), Chad (Kate) Transue and Eric Transue, and several great-grandchilden.

Earl's Funeral Service will take place at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 West County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006 at 12:00 noon, on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023.  Friends and family are invited to gather at the Chapel from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon.

A special service will be held in Sullivan County on Saturday, September 9th, at the VFW Post 384 - New Albany - 1164 Dibble Road, New Albany, PA  at 4:00 PM.
