February 12, 1938 – January 5, 2024
Edward Klumpp, age 85, of Southampton, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Hospital, Meadowbrook, PA.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph William and Emma Rose (Hollendonner) Klumpp. He was a resident of Southampton Estates for eleven years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.
He was a carpenter by trade and a proud veteran of the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. Mr. Klumpp had earned a good conduct medal and a Marksman (Rifle M-14) medal while serving.
Mr. Klumpp enjoyed traveling, volunteering, winning at shuffle board, swimming, volleyball, biking, fishing, and owning his own boat but most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.
Edward is survived by his sister-in-law, Doris (Zuchowicz), as well as many other nieces, nephews and relatives that will share fond memories of him. Mr. Klumpp is predeceased in death by his siblings, Arlene (Klumpp) Gerhart, and Lorraine (Klumpp) Fertig. His brother, Robert Klumpp, joined Edward in heaven five days after.
Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, 611 Knowles Ave. Southampton, PA 18966 on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11 AM. Friends may gather at the church from 10 AM until service time.
Mr. Klumpp will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W. County Line Rd. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 after funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward's name may be made to St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114.
