Edward J. Kowalski , age 84, of Northeast Philadelphia, passed away on July 13, 2019. Ed was a long time member of Teamsters Local 500 and a U.S. Army veteran. He was the beloved husband of Herta ( nee Hock ), and is also survived by sisters, Theresa Varacallo and Eleanor  Zach , and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 18th from 9am at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church , 11301 Academy Rd., Philadelphia,PA 19154, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park
