Murray, Edward A. "Ed the hoagie man" passed away June 26, 2017 in Neptune, NJ. He was 74. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in the Holmesburg section of Phila. and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964.After the navy he worked as a U.S. Merchant Seaman for 40 years, sailing with the Seafarers International Union, and the Marine Engineers Union. He retired from the Military Sealift Command as a licensed Marine Engineer. Ed was married to Helen Murray (nee Traska) for 100 years and was stepfather of Vince Kesling of Bensalem, PA and Deborah Burger of Sellersville, PA. He is also survived by grandsons Shawn and Kevin, a sister Joan Liedeke and numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to your favorite charity or, go out and get a hoagie. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday July 3 from 10am at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel 333 County Line Rd.
