Obituary of Elizabeth Ferris

Elizabeth (nee Ballman) Ferris, a resident of Tristol Township for 59 years died on Monday, August 23, 2010 at her residence with her children at her side. She was 82. Born July 9, 1928 in Cheltenham, PA she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Ballman, and the sister of the late Peter N. Ballman and the late Theresa Dirjung. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter H. Ferris, Sr. She will be deeply missed by her children James (Mabel) of Levittown, Walter H., Jr. of Bristol, William of Levittown, Peter of Levittown, John (Debbie) of Morrisville and her only daughter Elizabeth (Thomas) Lind of Bristol. Elizabeth (Betty) will be deeply missed by her friends and her former daughter in law Jacalyn Hamilton. Elizabeth will also be missed by her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also seven nieces and three nephews survive her. She was employed by Bristol Township Schools were she retired in 1978. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday evening, August 26, 2010 from 7 to 9 PM at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 Countyline Road, Feasterville 19053 (on the grounds of Sunset Memorial Park). Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, 1 Plymouth Meeting Suite 520, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
