Obituary of Elizabeth Giannascoli
Elizabeth (Betty) Giannascoli passed away on Wednesday, March 5, after being hospitalized on Thursday, February 27th with problems from atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure. She was 84 years old.
Born in Kensington on 9/15/1924, she as the daughter of Amelia and Angelo Ciervo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Camil, who passed away on Jun 17, 2013. February 26th was their 65th anniversary, the first one without him by her side.
After they were married, Betty and Camil lived in Philadelphia until 1963 when they moved to Warminster to be in the "country". They raised their family in their home and moved in 2009 to Wesley Enhanced Living in Hatboro. Camil moved to Neshaminy Manor in December 2010 and Betty faithfully visited him most days. Their loving marriage was an inspiration to their family and those who knew them.
Betty is survived by her three children, Thomas (Kathy), Nancy Simoes (Dennis), and Barbara Mancini (Fred). She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Meredith Simoes, Sophia Simoes, Maxwell Simoes, Amanda Giannascoli, and Sarah Giannascoli, as well as her great grandson, Dylan. She is also survived by her sister AnnaMae Wright, sisters-in-law, Joan Giannascoli and Anna Marie Giannascoli and many nieces and nephews.
She will be deeply missed but we know she is happy in the loving embrace of her husband.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday March 11 from 10am at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel 333 County Line Rd. Feasterville, where a memorial service will be held at 11am. Flowers are welcome or if you prefer, please make a donation in her name to your favorite charity.
