Obituary of Elizabeth Gowdy

Elizabeth (Betty) A. Gowdy (nee DeLong) passed away on March 25, 2011 at the age of 75. She was a resident of Warrington and was formerly of Warminster. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Jameson (Jay) P. Gowdy. She was the loving mother of Jo Ann Supplee (Bill), Scott T. Gowdy, James Gowdy (Karen) Betsy Waters (Jim) and Sue Flynn (Chuck); devoted gram of 14 and the great grandmother of 3. She is also survived by her sister, Janice Bocchino. Betty was an original member of the Tamanend Park Herb Gardening Club in Southampton, PA, and served as the President and ran the Club's Herb Sale for several years. She was very involved with Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Warminster, where she taught CCD, and was an original member of the Parish Prayer Group, and served as the CYO Basketball Coach. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, April 1, 2011 after 10 AM at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, 856 Euclid Avenue, Warrington, PA 18976 where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:40 AM. Interment to follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 527 Plymouth Road, Suite 403, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
