Elizabeth N Hood (nee Hoffman), from Philadelphia, PA., passed away peacefully on January 4, 2023 at the Neshaminy Manor Nursing home. She was 91 years old.

The daughter of the late Maurice and Emma Hoffman. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of over 60 years, Robert A Hood, Sr. who was in the Marine Corp and passed away in 2014. Betty was also predeceased by her brothers Robert Hoffman (Marylou) and Donald Hoffman.

Betty is survived by her loving sons, Robert A. Hood, Jr (Laura) and Michael H Hood, Sr. (Dianne). She will be missed dearly by her Grandchildren, Tammy (Chris), Bobby (Mayra), Kristin, Michael (Samantha), Jamie, Steven (Christina), Jon, (Vicki) and Gregory. Betty was blessed with 5 Great Grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Amber, Olivia, Luke and Lily and her nieces and nephews, the late Robert Hoffman, Cathy, Karen and Linda as well as extended family and friends.

Betty was a proud member of the Drum and Bugle Corp and graduated from Olney High School, class of 1949. Born and raised in the City of Philadelphia Betty was an avid Philly Sports lover, she especially loved celebrating the Phillies World Series wins and the Eagles Super Bowl win in 2018. She was a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary out of Churchville, PA where she dedicated time to help and attend many Veteran's Day celebrations with her late husband, Bob. Betty loved music, walking, camping, going to the movies and going out to breakfast and dinner. Most of all she adored her two sons, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and would use any opportunity to spend time with them all. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the life of Betty Hood, with a viewing on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00am-11:30am at the Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W County Line Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:30am in the funeral home. Interment immediately following in Sunset Memorial Park.
