Elizabeth "Betty" Richards, née Barnes, age 90, passed peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, August 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years John "Jack" Richards. Betty was a woman of strong character, wit, wisdom, love, and humor – which she carried to the final day of her life - and imparted on everyone in her family. She had a way of creating a unique and special relationship with everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by her daughters Jackie (Michael) Chaykowski and Marianne (the late Mark) Jimino, her loving grandchildren Michelle (Thomas) Costello, John (Mary) Chaykowski, Matthew and Keith Jimino. Betty was a doting great grandmother to Claudia Jimino, Makenna and Bryan Chaykowski, and Jack Costello. Friends and relatives may call Thursday, August 13, 2020 for visitation between 10:30 am - 11:30 am and service at 11:30 am at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 West County Line Rd., Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated towards the purchase of a gold leaf in her name to be dedicated to The Tree of Life at Bensalem United Methodist Church – donations can be made via check made out to BUMC in memory of Betty Richards and mailed to 4300 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.
