Elizabeth "Elsie" Sloan, age 97, of Huntingdon Valley, PA passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Born and raised in Philadelphia in her family home to the late William and Elizabeth (Hendry) Wandrum. She was a graduate of Olney High School. She met the love of her life, Richard, in high school and raised 3 children in Huntingdon Valley before moving to California. She moved back to Pennsylvania in 2013 to be closer to family.

She lived a long life filled with lots of travel and made many friends along life's way. She was great at history, trivia and had an inquisitive mind, always observant of places and things around her. She was an avid gardener, animal lover, bird watcher, and reader. She was active in three garden clubs while living in California.

Daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Hendry) Wandrum; wife of 53 years to the late Richard N. Sloan. Elsie is survived by her loving children, R. Bruce (Beth) Sloan, Jane (Wayne) Oronzio, and Mary Ann (Thomas) Belisle; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

Services for Elsie will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
