GOGEL

ELSIE D (nee Damm), of Huntingdon Valley, PA, passed away December 22, 2018. Elsie was born on September 16, 1935 and was 83 years old. Elsie's husband, John "Jack" Gogel  shared 59 years of marriage together until his passing in 2014, he was 85. Elsie had three daughters, Lynn Koch, Diane Boerner, Susan Soroka, and a son, John Jr. (Sharyn). A proud grandmother blessed with 8 grandsons, Kyle, Sean, Jeffrey, Evan, Travis, Aaron, Jesse and Kevin, and 3 granddaughters, Alyssa, Laurel and Jenna.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents John and Emily (nee Schopf) Damm, who were born in Austria and Germany respectively. And her brother Robert Damm (Elaine) in 2007. Elsie is survived by her older sister Eleanor Gower (nee Damm).

Elsie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, bowling and spending summers in Cape May, N.J.. Elsie will be sorely missed by her family and best friend of over 50 years, Catherine Harrington. She is now in heaven with her husband, parents and brother. Rest in Peace Mom!!
