Elwood Kelley passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023, age 84 years. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Juanita, his parents, Joseph and Edna Kelley: brothers, Joseph, Louis (Betty), Harry (Marion), Robert (Sandy) and his sisters Edna Gibbons (Robert), Delores Tomlinson (John) & Thelma Geiser (Edward). He is survived by his son, Butch.

Elwood was born in Bristol, PA in 1938. He was raised and remained in Newportville, PA for most of his life and later, at Bristol House Memory Care in Warrington, PA.

Always known as a hard worker, Elwood started out life as a welder at Railroad Specialties, in Bristol, PA, then started his own company, Kelley's Home Improvements, doing exterior home improvements.

He loved working on his cars and had a 1956 Ford, of which he was most proud. In his earlier years he was a drummer and was part of a band named The Fury. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He loved his Harley's and would go on many charity and leisure rides with his buddies. When not riding or working on his cars, he enjoyed hosting his friends to have some beers and shoot some pool or have an evening of poker.

Elwood continued doing home improvements until retirement, but, as anyone who knows dad, he never really retired. He would take on the odd job and would run gutters for other home improvement businesses with his personal gutter machine.

Elwood was known for his quick wit. No matter the situation, he would always have a wisecrack at the ready. Even as the disease progressed, you could always see that twinkle come to his eye and you knew the wisecrack wasn't far behind.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Friday March 24, 2023, 10:30-11:30am at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home, 333 W County Line Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A Prayer Service will be offered at 11:30am. Entombment of cremated remains to immediately follow.
