Emiliana "Emily" (Torres) Fitzgerald, age 75, beloved wife of Richard Fitzgerald of Feasterville, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Feasterville. Born on August 8, 1947 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Emiliano and Herminia (Gonzales) Torres. Emily, the oldest of her 7 siblings; Ana, Liza, Marta, Dan, Angelo, and Benjamin was raised in upstate New York in a small town named Ellenville. She enjoyed life. An unfortunate car accident forced her into retirement. Upon retiring, her and Rick decided to move to the gulf coast of Florida so she could be closer to her parents and enjoy a good quality of life there.
She enjoyed going to church, and singing in the choir. She loved reading a good book, she had a collection of elephants, bells, mugs, and clowns to name a few; but, above all were her collection of purses. Her and Rick enjoyed the last 12 years in Florida, enjoying numerous parks and were avid visitors to many events. They travelled to many wonderful islands and enjoyed going on cruises. She was very happy, funny, adventurous, feisty, full of love, and will be cherished forever.

In addition to Rick, she is survived by her 3 children: Miguel, and Randy Rodriguez, and Cindy Perez. 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband Miguel Rodriguez, Sr with whom she remained good friends and was part of all family events. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 9:30 AM followed by her funeral service at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Memories at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Rd., Huntingdon Valley. Interment will follow in the Chapel.
