Obituary of Emma Smith

Smith, Emma G., born November 20, 1922, in Philadelphia, PA she died in Tucson, AZ on March 10, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband Evan H. Smith, she is survived by her daughters, Virginia Bargull (Ray), Christine Fichera (Chap) and son, Mark Smith (Denise), six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her brother, Albert Newsham. A Philadelphia and Bucks County native she had lived in Tucson since 1982. She proudly served in the military during WWII with the Navy Waves. After boot camp in New York she went to Mail School and was stationed in San Francisco in the Fleet Post Office. In lieu of flowers the family asked that contributions be made to the VA Hospital in Tucson.
