Ethel M. Rowan-Bradshaw passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on December 21, 2018 at the age of 97.

Born on May 28, 1921, Ethel resided most of her life in Roxborough, PA with her parents, John and Ethel (Weber) Szollose, Sr. of Hungarian and German descent. She preceded three brothers, John, Steve and Frank and two husbands, Irving Bradshaw and Frank Rowan.

During her early years, Ethel was a beauty queen, becoming Miss Manayunk in 1937. During wartime, she was a welder at the Budd Company.

Ethel, a devout catholic and parishioner of Assumption BVM Roman Catholic Church, Feasterville, PA loved to pray the rosary. She was very proud of her family heritage, keeping in contact with relatives in Germany. She enjoyed many hobbies, including, drawing, crocheting, sewing (making her own clothes), bunco, bowling, bingo and singing. Through all of her adventures, she loved life, cruising in her trophy winning 1967 Chevy Chevelle and making many friends.

Ethel was the beloved mother of Ethel Bradshaw (Thomas) Eagen, Sr., grandmother of Thomas (Susan) Eagen, Jr., Angela (Joseph) Smith,  and the late Michael Eagen. Great Grandmother to Brittany Schaner and Lindsey Eagen. Great-Great Grandmother to Nola Hansrote.

Visitation will take place on December 27, 2018 from 9:30am-10:30am at Assumption BVM Roman Catholic Church , 1900 Meadowbrook Rd, Feasterville, PA 19053, immediately followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am. Interment will be held privately at the family's request.
