Evelyn Kathryn Coyle, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, following a brief hospital stay.

Born in Philadelphia, Evie, as she was affectionately known, was a free-spirited woman who lived life with kindness, compassion, and a spark all her own. After graduating high school, she found her calling as a cosmetic consultant with Lancôme, a career she loved and excelled in for many years. Evie will be dearly missed by her friends at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church and Green Creek Community Church, where she found joy, faith, and fellowship.

She is survived by her loving family: her niece Lisa Mattox, her nephew Frank Grube IV and his daughter Amber Galasso, her niece Julie Coakley and her children, Liam and Quinn Coakley, and her sister-in-law Nina Grube. Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved parents, Francis Joseph Grube, Jr. and Emma Kathryn Hetrick, her brother Frank Grube III, and her son Greg Gibson.

Evelyn was a warm, loving soul with a giving heart. She was known for her deep love of family, friends, and animals—especially the strays she couldn't resist taking in, even when told not to! Evie was fiercely independent, with a particular way of doing things, and if you ever stepped on her toes, you'd see her strong-willed side. But those who knew her best remember her generosity, her ability to bring laughter to any room, and the way she made everyone feel special.

Evie was devoted to her church and found purpose in volunteering, especially at Victoria Commons. She cherished simple joys like the feel of sand between her toes and time spent with loved ones. Her heart was always open, and she was known for her unwavering compassion, leaving a mark on the lives of everyone she touched.

Services for Evelyn will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to any animal rescue organization. Evelyn's light will continue to shine through those who knew and loved her.
