Florence Chamberlain, a resident of Urbana, MD and former long-time resident of Philadelphia, PA died peacefully in the presence of her family on December 13, 2016. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Tomczyk.
She is survived by her cherished sister Josephine Wietecha, her loving children Janet Daly, Frank Chamberlain III and Sally Van Horn (Gary), her devoted grandchildren Tom Daly (Alison) and Kimberly Van Horn, and her adoring great-grandson Keagan Daly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank Chamberlain JR (53 years) and her two brothers, Bishop Joseph Tomczyk and the Rev. Edward Tomczyk.
Florence was a long-time member of Our Saviour Polish National Catholic Church in Lawrenceville, NJ. One of her favorite activities was playing card games. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking, sewing, embroidering, needlepointing and solving word and jigsaw puzzles. Florence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on December 27, 2016 at KIRK AND NICE SUBURBAN CHAPEL, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville PA (215-354-0085). Her Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, followed by entombment at Sunset Memorial Park.
