Sadly, another great father who did a fantastic job of raising NINE children has passed. Florencio Rolon (many called him Pop and Tio Flor) passed away on June 27, 2023 at the age of 97 1/2. Pop (Tio Flor) was the youngest and the last of six children. Everyone knew he loved dancing and especially enjoyed cooking big family dinners for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by eight children: Nellie & Antonio Mercado, Hiram & Maryann Rolon, Obed Rolon, Jose Rolon, Jennie Jacob, Bob & Renee Rolon, Lucy & Charlie Garcia and David Rolon; also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday July 5, 2023 at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home, 333 County Line Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley.
A viewing will held on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Pop (Tio Flor) always donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Shriners Hospital, and Make A Wish Foundation.
