Obituary of Frances Neild

Neild, Frances Phoebe (nee Still) of Burholme, passed away on August 31, 2014. She was 96. Beloved wife of the late David Joseph Neild, she is survived by a son David John Neild (Judy), brother John Blaker, a niece Julia Smith, grandchildren Robert S. Neild, Jr., Erin and David Blake and Christine and Joshua Bartley, great grandchildren; Maggie, Jacob, Makenzie, Belinda and Gavin. She was preceded in death by a son Robert S. Neild, Sr. A lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Burholme and a girls scout leader. Fran was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary Post 754 for 62 years, serving as president for 9 years. For many years she worked at the Treasure Chest Gift Shop in Fox Chase. Frances enjoyed travelling with friends and family. In the last 30 years she made many trips to most of the 50 states, National Parks and Canada with her son David. She was known as Aunt Fran or Mom to many and will be greatly missed and remembered for her sense of humor and her good heart. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 6 from 9:30 AM at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053 where funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Pennsylvania SPCA, 350 E. Erie Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134-9987.
