It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Francis X. Evans (Fran), who passed away on April 25, 2025, in Fox Chase, Philadelphia, PA, at the age of 78. Fran was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Born on March 7, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, Fran attended St. Martin's Grade School and Father Judge High School. Shortly after graduating, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country during a tour in Vietnam. Upon returning home, Fran continued his commitment to service by following in his father's footsteps to become a Philadelphia firefighter with Local 22. For several years, he and his father, Francis J. Evans, had the honor of working side by side in the same firehouse.

Fran was the devoted husband of the late Cassie Evans and is survived by his loving children, Allegra Evans Bick (Ed), Francis H. Evans (Kim), and Kelly Evans; his brother, Michael Evans.  His cherished grandchildren are Eddie, Kyrsten, Christian, Julia, Avery, and Connor. He was the proud son of the late Francis J. Evans and Marie M. Evans.

Fran will be remembered for his strong work ethic, kind heart, dependability, and great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and collecting sports cards. His warmth and spirit will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. on Friday May 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m..
