Obituary of Frank Colborn
Frank K. Colborn, Jr. of Huntingdon Valley died peacefully in his sleep on October 22, 2013. He was 84.
Born in Fox Chase, Philadelphia to the late Mildred and Frank K. Colborn, Sr.
He was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Isabelle M. Colborn, loving father and best friends to his sons Frank K. Colborn, III (Edie) and Nicol S. Colborn and grandfather of Frank K. Colborn, IV. He will be greatly missed by his family and all of his dear friends.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a graduate of Drexel University, Pennsylvania and Amber University, Texas.
In his multi-faceted career of construction and engineering industry some of his most notable accomplishments consisted of I-95 Highway and bridges, major high rise projects in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas and many other Philadelphia, Pennsylvania award winning projects. He also had many other global accomplishments. He was an instructor of construction methods at Drexel University and had a total of 50 years of experience in all phases of bridges, building and road construction.
Frank's funeral will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, November 1 at Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053 where the family will receive firends from 9:30 until the time of service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
