Obituary of Frank Franz, Jr. D.D.S.

Frank M. Franz , Jr., D.D.S., died after a long illness in Lewes, DE on March 31, 2015. He was born on September, 4, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Frank M., Sr. and Anna B. Franz. He graduated from Frankford High School in that city, received a BA from Gettysburg College in 1953, and in 1958, earned a D.D.S. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dentistry. He served in the Army Dental Corps until 1960 when he went into private practice in Feasterville, Pa. He retired from that practice in 2004 and moved to Bethany Beach, DE, where he resided until his death. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine L. ( Wagaman ) Franz and a daughter Marta L. Franz. He is survived by his wife, Mary ( Anderson ) Franz , daughter Greta Franz, a grandson J. Ryan Sandlin, and brothers Robert and David . A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 11 am, at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053. The family requests that in memory of Dr. Franz, donations may be made to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
