Obituary of Franklin Heiler
Franklin R. Heiler, age 71, on July 29, 2010 of Philadelphia. Loving father of Teresa Landherr (Greg) Ginny Mintzer (Mark) and Mary McDonald (Brian). Devoted pop pop of Lauren, Michael, Maureen, Matthew, Megan, Kathleen and Rory. He is also survived by his friend Kathleen Harvey. Frank was a truck driver for the Philadelphia Inquirer for 37 years and also was a member of the Teamsters Local 628. He was a volunteer fire fighter with Roslyn Fire Co. and was the owner of the Philadelphia Bicycle Shop since 1975. He was past president of the Pinelands and South Jersey Orchid Societies and won numerous blue ribbons at the Philadelphia Flower Show with his orchids. Frank actually had hybridized 4 orchids and named them after his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 County line Road, Feasterville PA, 215-354-0085 where a Prayer Service will be said at 9 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or to AMH Hospice, 2510 Maryland Road, Suite 250, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
