December 25, 1945 – June 19, 2018
Fred Gale, born December 25, 1945, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, after a long courageous battle with lung cancer, with his family by his side. He was 72. Fred was the loving husband of Elizabeth Gale. The couple enjoyed 34 years of marriage. He was a 1963 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School and a 1973 graduate of La Salle University with his Bachelors in Business. Fred served our country as a U.S. Marine. To support his family, Fred owned and operated his own business for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor (Rebmann) Gale, his father, Robert Gale, and his brother Robert Gale. He is survived by his sister, Ethel (Honey) Bartolotta (Angelo). Fred is survived by the love of his life, Elizabeth (Gaittens) Gale. He is also survived by their children, Richard Gale (Stephanie) of Doylestown, Colleen Fuchs (Joe) of Warrington, William Wohrle (Clare) of Philadelphia, Kimberly Wohrle of Philadelphia and Michael Wohrle (Kimberly Egolf-Wilf) of Lansdale. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, Katherine, Matthew, Jennifer, Lauren, Allison, Jacqueline, Valerie, Jordan, Sean, Michael and Jacqueline. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fred's name to the Abington Jefferson Health Hospice at Warminster, 225 Newtown Rd., Warminster, PA 18974. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday evening, June 22, 2018, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel located at 333 County Line Rd., Feasterville, PA 19053. Relatives and friends will also be received from 10:00 am to 10:45 am Saturday morning, June 23, 2018, at the Saint Anselm Catholic Church located at 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am immediately followed by interment at the Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
