Fred C. Getz, a lifelong resident of Oakford, Bensalem Township, PA, passed away in his home on Sunday, May, 2, 2021. He was 99 years old.

Predeceased by his wife, Sarah (nee, Courter) and daughter, SaraJane (Sue) Kroehling. He is survived by his three sons, Fred (Pat), William (Patty), Robert (Angie) and daughter Jeanne Ralston (Brian), thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Fred worked as a car inspector for the Reading and Conrail Railroads for 43 years, retiring on December 31, 1982. He enjoyed attending the monthly meetings of the Reading Railroad Veteran Employees Association. Fred was a graduate of Bensalem High School, class of 1940. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his German Shepherds, which he owned throughout his life. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, rarely missing a game.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 10-11 am at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 am. Mausoleum Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W. County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
