Speakman
November 21, 1938 – July 5, 2025
Gail C. Speakman (nee Keller), of East Vincent, PA, and formerly Warminster, PA, passed away at home with her children by her side on July 5, 2025. She was 86.
Gail was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia to the late Albert Paul and Helen (O'Brien) Keller. She was the seventh girl in a family of eight daughters.
Gail met and married the love of her life, the late Leonard J. Speakman, in 1959. They shared over 60 years of wedded bliss before he passed away in 2020.
Gail's greatest joy in life was being with her family. She is survived by her loving children: Len Jr, and Helen G. (John Viggiano). Gail is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Gail C. Jr (Peter Cavallo). Gail is survived by six grandchildren that she completely adored: Joe Speakman-Viggiano, Nick Speakman-Viggiano (and fiancée, Alexis), Samantha Speakman-Viggiano, Daniel Cavallo, Sara Cavallo, and Michaela Cavallo.
Gail is survived by one sister, Mary Claire Foulke-Hopkins and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters: Patricia Keller, Helen Sullivan (Denis), Virginia Hines (John), Kathryn Joan Remaily (Ken), Carol Bilbow (John), and Dolores Mercaldo (Vincent). She was also predeceased by her husband's brother Bill (Julia) Speakman and sister Anne (Morris) Joseph.
Besides being a devoted wife and mother, Gail was proud of the fact that she started college at age 39 and graduated with honors from LaSalle University with a degree in accounting.
Family and friends are invited to her viewing from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Kirk & Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W County Line Rd, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A Memorial Service will start at 11:00 AM. Her interment will take place immediately after in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
Donations in Gail's memory may be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
