George L. Kaighn, age 97, passed away peacefully at his Glenside home surrounded by his loving family.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Helen Frances (nee Armstrong), survived by his loving family: sister in law, Dorothy E. Armstrong, two daughters Cheryl Kaighn, and Betty (the late Roger) Mason, five grandchildren, Patrick (Sandra) Haney, Thomas (Samantha) Haney, Christopher (Amanda) Haney, Brandy (Matthew) Terry, Kyle (Jessica) Mason and 11 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick, Michaela, Madison, Mackenzie, Amelia, Jacob, Daniel, Breanna, Noah, and his namesake, George Henry.

He served our country in the United States Navy, was a proud veteran of  World War II, and continued his service as a lifetime member of the Edgehill Fire Company.  After a long career with Bell Telephone, he spent his retirement in sunny Florida.

George's memorial service will be held privately.
