George Perkons of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 and will be missed dearly by his loving family.  He was 94 years old.  George was born on January 29, 1926 in Riga, Latvia to the late Rudolph and Maria.

George arrived in the United States as a young man after earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  As an engineer, he was well respected in his field and specialized in the historic preservation of movable bridges, working until he was 75 years old.  George was an avid stamp collector and devoted grandfather.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Elli (Eiermann), his daughters Mara and Sarmite, his step children: Evelyn and husband, Owen; Karen and husband, Joe; Harold and wife, Ann Marie, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family plans on having a memorial service at a later date.
