George Gustav Sauerbaum, 94, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. He was born February 16, 1931. He was a military veteran serving in the Navy and the Army. After serving in the military, he married his late wife Helen Sauerbaum (Sabato) on June 2, 1956, with whom he spent 68 years. Their marriage gave way to six children, thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren (with one more on the way). George spent most of his working years as an auto body and fender serviceman. When he was not working, he was always building some project in the basement or fixing something in the house. He had a love of roller skating, butterscotch candy, and his beloved 1933 Plymouth. He shared a love of music with his wife which they passed on to their children. When vacationing in Florida, George could always be found on the beach with a fishing pole and a bucket reeling in his next catch.

He is survived by his six children: Eleanor, Nancy, George L. (Jean), Elaine (Michael), Mark (Tracy), and Allan (Kathleen), and all 13 grandchildren: Rodger, Kristiana, Anthony, Pamela, Michelle, George P., Helen, Shelby, Michael, Joshua, Jeremy, Rachel, and Logan and 7 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Antonio, Billy, Taryn, Violet, Alicia, and Luke.

Services will be held at 12 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Kirk and Nice Suburban Chapel, 333 W. County Line Rd. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Viewing will be from 11 AM until service time.
